Poinsettia is a bright ornamental flower also commonly referred to as the Christmas Plant known to fully bloom by Christmas. They are slightly toxic not poisonous, and this is due to the milky latex sap they produce that can cause eye and skin irritation. The amount of the plant consumed, will determine the situation of the animal. The leaves are not edible, and in case they are eaten, they will probably cause the animal to experience nausea or diarrhoea.

Technically yes, but you would have to consume an enormous quantity in order to be killed. A 50 pound child would have to eat 1.25 lbs of it to be killed. Not to mention they taste...
