How Do You Dry Herbs?
To dry herbs, first choose an area that has good air circulation and no direct sunlight. Place a clean window screen on top of some bricks or blocks. Shred fresh leaves from stems and put them on the screen in one layer for 7 to 10 days and store in plastic bags or small jars thereafter. For long stemmed leafy herbs, hang bunches upside down in a warm, dark, dust-free, well-ventilated area for two to three weeks. Strip leaves from their stems and store them in small jars, clean film containers or plastic bags.
