How To Hang A Wooden Gate
To hang a wooden gate, test if the gate fits between the gate posts and determine how it will swing and where you will mount the hinges. Align the edges of the hinge with the lateral edge of the gate. The straps of the hinges are then screwed in place using a drill and driver bit. The gate is then centred between the gate posts with the hinged side of the gate flush with the gate posts. Raise the gate off the ground as desired, so that it swings freely when opening or closing. Use a carpenter's level to Level the top rail of the gate. Screw the hinges in place, using a drill and driver bit.
