The first step in screening in a porch is to remove the old wood batterns. Next install the base strips, both horizontal and vertical base strips, and be sure to trim any excesses. Fit the screening onto the base strips and be sure to reinforce the bottom screens. Install the cap trim to cover up the base strips. A solid door which complements the screen-in may be added to the screening system.
