Is There A Way I Can Stop Snails In My Garden?
To stop snails from your garden, pick them by hand and re-home them on a patch of waste ground that is far away from your garden, or kill them by putting them in a bucket of hot, salty water. Encourage natural predators that feed on them like such as toads, thrushes, hedgehogs and ground beetles. Use traps in the border of your garden like upside down pots or grapefruit skins that will attract the snails during the day when they rest making it easy to collect them. Protect your vulnerable plants with barriers like copper tape, crushed stone or egg shells. Also use chemicals that contain aluminium sulphate which is less toxic to pets to kill snails.
