California grows a wide variety of fruits as follows: cherries, starwberries, peach, pluots, mangoes, pear, avocado, artichoke which grows in spring, apriums, pineapples, grapes, apples which grow in late summer, apricots which grow in late spring towards early summer, tangerines, plums, persimmons, oranges, nectarines, kiwi fruit, figs and kumquats. Summer is normally the peak harvest time for most fruits in California.
