Elodea Canadensis is a species of perennial aquatic plant that is native to the most of North America and that goes by other names in American or Canadian Waterweed and Pondweed. This species grows in mesotrophic and eutrophic waters from the shallows to depths of 3 metres or more and favours still or slowly flowing sites where silt accumulates.
