The Spanish romantic-impressionist composer of Concierto de Aranjuez, which is often heard in the setting by Gil Evans for Miles Davis on Sketches of Spain. The original has many more charms and beauty of orchestration; it and its companion piece, Fantasia para un gentilhombre for Guitar & Orchestra, each have elegant, warm, and memorable melodies.
