Foundation on the beach should be very minimal. The less makeup you have on, the better it will look. For the lashes, use one or two coats of your favourite waterproof mascara making sure to press at the root of the lashes and wiggle up and out. For the lips, use a sheer colour that looks more natural. Finally, for a sun kissed look, take your big brush and place bronzer where the sun would normally hit the face such as your nose, the center of your forehead, your chin and the sides of your face and neck.
