The concept of a Jubilee originates from the Bible.
George III was the first British monarch to celebrate a Jubilee, in 1809. Queen Victoria celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 1897 which was marked with a Royal Procession, led by the Queen in a horse drawn carriage.
