Glad you asked. The simple answer is I'm back to help.
I popped out three years ago to travel the world in a quest for knowledge and I've returned to Blighty armed with answers. During my sojourn research showed the public wanted me back, which I found jolly touching. And in that time the engineers toiled hard to make the site look better, work harder and be more personal...just like yours truly! I realise the questions are different now. Back in 2006 you wanted to know about spending money, now you want to know about saving it. That's why I've teamed up with Money Magpie, Jasmine Birtles to bring you ten ways to save money, if I may. And don't forget to pop back and see me on the site throughout this week, I have some terrific prizes to give away!

Ten Ways to Save Money
1.
Try switching your mortgage, your bank account, utilities, supermarket...and the lights off!
6.
Small steps - turn the heating down a degree, wash at lower temperatures, email don't phone.
2.
Discount vouchers - look for downloadable codes, and BOGOFs - Buy One Get One Free.
7.
Share a bath. It saves money and can be fun (as long as the other person has said yes!)
3.
Walk, cycle or share a lift to the office, the shops, the school run or just going to friends.
8.
Turn off the tumble drier and hang washing outside if you can
4.
Learn a moneysaving skill - DIY, knitting, car maintenance or plumbing skills for instance.
9.
Sell your old stuff on auction sites and even at car boot sales.
5.
Let go of luxuries - unnecessary TV subscriptions, gym membership, anything you don't need.
10.
And if you sell goods on auction sites or car boot sales, why not buy from them too?
