Ann, Thanks for writing. The chairs may be your biggest problem! The cork does tend to scratch and dent easily and then there is the staining issue, but on the plus side it is GREAT

definatley the tile or stone one because it wont soak up the cleaner and two if its not lenolium you can just pour the cleaner all over the floor and ta-da just mop everything up
