By What Property Did Mendeleev Arrange the Elements?

Russian chemist and inventor Dmitri Mendeleev was the one who arranged the chemical elements, including the undiscovered ones during that time, in a periodic table according to their chemical properties. Although there were only 56 discovered elements that time, he was able to accurately provide locations for the unknown ones using his analysis on their atomic weights and valence electrons.
1 Additional Answer
Mendeleev arranged the elements based on the atomic mass property. The elements are arranged on the periodic table. Horizontal and vertical rows are also included.
