The residue found on crops from pesticides cannot harm human beings unless it is in large volumes. Almost all food substances have some form of pesticide residue but in very small quantities. The risk of harm from the pesticides is more probable on the workers who handle the crops, while on the farm than the final consumer.

Pesticides used in the US break down after a certain period of time. The farms are SUPPOSED to spray and then wait to harvest after the allotted time period. I don't know how often
