A perfect example of an anecdote in text is in the story about the Clark family. The story of the Clark family tells of a family who was unable to take the maiden voyage on the Titanic to America. The father at first was upset at his son who had been wounded by a dog just before the voyage and had to remain behind from the trip. After hearing of the tragedy of the Titanic sinking, the father then thanked his son for saving the family. The anecdote being the blessing behind this tragedy.
