Greek Health Beliefs?

Answer

Greek health beliefs were that people should be treated if injured or ill. Though there were no hospitals in ancient Greece there were temples that were set up to house the sick and infirm. Asclepius is the healing god of Greece. Medical services were provided to slaves, foreigners, and anyone who could pay for them. There is no information found on whether or not there was free health care available to everyone in Greece. Greece now has national health insurance as well as private health insurance.
