How do I wire a 110-volt plug?

Answer

A 110 volt plug must be wired to complete a circuit in order to work properly. To wire one, turn off the power to the circuit so you don't get shocked. Electricity can be very dangerous. Then attach the black wire to the right-hand side of the receptacle and the white wire to the left-hand side. These wires attach to screws. The green screw is for the ground wire. Once the wires are tightly attached and the plug is in place, the electricity can be turned back on to test whether the plug is working correctly.
