How Do Koalas Survive?

Koalas live in eucalyptus forests and in low eucalyptus woodlands. The survive on a few different types of gum leaves. They spend a lot of their time in trees. They are mostly nocturnal, and will sleep about 18 hours everyday. They sleep a lot because of their poor diet, and sleeping conserves their energy. When koalas communicate, they make a series of different noises. They make noises such as a snore and what sounds like a loud belch.
