How Do You Write Time in Words?

Answer

To write time in words, you will add the words o'clock, half past, quarter past, quarter til, minutes and hours. You will also write the number out in word form. So if the clock said 4:15, the time would be written as quarter past four o'clock. Similarly, if the clock says 4:45, the time would be written as quarter til five o'clock. That is because after the 30 minute mark, you count towards the next hour instead of counting past the last hour. So you would have 25 minutes until six o'clock if the time was 7:35.
