A veterinary is responsible for the care and management of medical and surgical treatment of animals. Vets are also responsible for the prevention of animal disease. The animals that vets can care for vary from small household pets to farm animals, horses or even zoo animals. The course is science based and takes approximately four years. Most colleges will ask for at least chemistry and biology A level. The minimum grades they will accept are A (Biology), A (Chemistry and B(Psychics) with all A levels taken at one sitting.
