How many stores does Starbucks have in the world?

Answer

As of March, 2014 there are over 18,000 Starbucks stores in 62 different countries. This makes Starbucks one of the largest vendors of coffee throughout the entire world.

Starbucks opened its first store in 1971. For over a decade afterwards, it remained a single location, based out of Seattle, Wash. Locals and tourists alike marvelled at the unique blend of delicious coffee served at the storefront. One such patron, Howard Schultz, liked it so much, he bought the coffee shop and turned it into a chain a few years later. Starbucks caters to the local flavor of the different continents but always maintains a high level of corporate responsibility in sourcing its beans and producing its coffee drinks and baked goods.
