How to Fit a Timing Belt on a Car?

Answer

To install a car timing belt, install the new sprocket by ensuring that the marks on the gear are facing out. Install the new timing belt and camshaft sprocket. Reinstall the camshaft sprocket bolts. Use a hammer to drive out the old crankshaft seal. Turn the cover over and tap the new crankshaft seal into the timing cover. Reinstall the timing belt cover onto the engine block and put silicone sealer in the corners. Reinstall the front timing chain, water pump, the fuel pump, the fan and fan clutch, the belts and the negative battery cable.
