How to Fit Double Glazing Units?

Answer

To fit the double glazing units you need tape measure, hammer, nail punch, scraper, double glazed unit, non-hardening butyl putty, roll(s) of high-security glazing tape, spacing blocks, beading tacks. Work out the size you want by measuring the frame the measure the overall thickness of the glass. Pull the beading away and lie in the shape of the window.fit and centralise the glass frame Special units will be labelled up to show which side should face outwards. If the unit is going into a fixed window, fit spacers. Spacers have to be placed as for side- and top-hung openings for opening windows. If the window doesnt operate, slight adjustment of the spacer blocks will get it sorted then press plastic beading or nail wooden beading back into place.

To fit double glazing units, measure the window and add 16 millimetres to the measurements of both length and width. Remove the glazing packaging and put on the cover strip for the base section. Next, measure the side you want to add the super glaze, add 23 millimetres and repeat the process from top to bottom. Clean the window is clean, ensure it is dry and fix the glaze using the screws that are provided while ensuring that it fits snugly on the frame. Finally, replace the cover strips in the base section so as to complete the system.
