How to Get Rid of Housemartins?

Answer

SidMA
Getting rid of house martins means you have to check door stoops, window jambs, and other places in the house where they are likely to make their nests. If you find a nest, remove them and remember their location because these birds usually return to their old nests. If you see eggs or young birds in the nest, you must leave them alone since house martins are protected by law.

House martins are small birds that have glossy blue-black upper parts, pure white under parts and have a distinctive white rump with a forked tail. One can get rid of house martins by closing in the triangle under the attic where the nests are built with a piece of wood, fine mesh chicken wire or parallel wires. However, knocking down an active nest or blocking birds from accessing their eggs or young is illegal and is punishable by law.
