Adding other colours on the outside in round spots. Use a brush to move some yellow paint halfway towards the red and stop. Rinse out the brush and mix the red and yellow and brush it back into the red dab. Repeat the process with the blue paint. Brush the red towards the blue and stop halfway.Repeat the earlier step forming purple, green and orange shades. Make the dark purple darker by mixing in the black. Add white to any colour to make it lighter and mix yellow and red for a more vibrant red.

A little artistry is needed to mix paint colours into attractive hues. Most paints are ready to mix, while some need a thinner so they mix smoothly. This is a hit and miss process for beginners as they experiment on the proper mixture.
