Victor Marie Hugo was born in France on February 26th, 1802. He wrote novels and poems and some of the biggest works in the Romanticism movement. An interesting fact about him is the longest sentence ever written was in his book, Les Miserables, and was a total of 800 words long depending on the translation. He published Les Misrables while he was on vacation. He also actually owned a pet cat that he named Gavroche.
