Light Pink Spotting instead of Period?

Answer

Light pink spotting instead of a period can be concerning but in most cases is completely normal. Another cause is the period before a woman goes through menopause. During this time, a woman may experience longer times between periods. They will typically have pink or brown spotting as well. The reason is the estrogen is getting lower. If you also experience hot lashes, mood swings or the bleeding is troublesome, contact your doctor. They can prescribe hormone replacement therapy to ease your symptoms.
