Lump on Side of Knee?

Answer

A hard lump on the side of the knee could be as the result of a meniscal cyst. If the meniscus gets torn, it can cause a cyst or small bump to form. It will usually cause pain when standing and tenderness around the bump. It may be treated by an inflammatory medication or surgery, if required.
