Million and billion are both mathematical terms for large amounts or numbers. A million has 6 zeros following a 1 while a billion has 9 zeros that follow a 1. This means that a billion is larger than a million. The conversion from a million to billion is to divide by 1,000 since there is a 1,000 fold difference between them. An easier way is to move the decimal place over to the left by 3 places to convert from million to billion.
