u should be able to pick up an engine easily as most engines around that time were the same u might have to change the sump and oil pickup and maybe the dizzy but it should work as

This is going to be an issue. There are marks on the gears you need to line up correctly to get it right. Without a picture to look at it is very hard. You can start and get it close
