Most species of animals have a name for the masculine gender and one for the feminine gender. The American Bison uses cow for the feminine gender and bull for the masculine gender. Other animals that use cow and bull include bison, alligator, camel, cattle, and crocodile. The bush baby uses queen as the feminine gender and king or drake for the masculine gender. A female lion is called a lioness while the male is called a lion and a female leopard is called a leopardess while the male is called a leopard.
