Plasmoptysis?

Answer

The Merriam-Webster dictionary describes plasmoptysis as, 'the bursting forth of protoplasm from a cell through rupture of the cell wall.' Its counterpart would be Plasmolysis and this is when a cell shrinks due to living in water. As you can see, the two differ in structure and how they survive. The end result of plasmptysis is destruction when the cell eventually erupts, taking the cell wall with it and all of its membranes and components.
