Rembrandt Technique?

Answer

Rembrandt Harmenszoon Van Rijn was a famous Dutch painter and etcher that lived from 1606 to 1669. He is remembered for being one of the best painters and print makers in European art history. Rembrandt used a technique in his paintings that drew a person to focus on the face because he drew the face to be illuminated. He would make the background rich, dark, and transparent to set off subjects in a way never seen before.
