The sweat that is secreted from the sweat glands may smell in different ways. There are documented cases of sweat ranging from sweet smelling to vinegar smelling. The scent is dependent upon lifestyle choices which affect the scent of sweat released from the sweat glands. Usually, sweat smells like vinegar when the body is taking in more protein than it can use. It is converted to ammonia which is released in many ways, one of which is the vinegar like smell of sweat. Drinking more water can dilute this scent and not make it as noticeable.
