The characteristics of a mixture include the constituents of a the mixture to not present in a fixed ratio, among the constituents of the mixture there is no chemical reaction, and the constituents retain their original properties. A solution mixture is when the solute is completely intermingled with the molecules of the solvent. An example would be sugar and water. Solutions are homogeneous mixtures which means the mixture has uniform composition and properties in all parts.
