Difference between Elements Compounds Mixtures?

Answer

An element is defined as a substance that cannot be further reduced to simpler substances by ordinary processes. A mixture is a material containing two or more elements or compounds that are in close contact and are mixed in any proportion while a compound is a pure substance that is created when two elements are combined. The main difference between the three is that the element cannot be reduced to any simpler form while the mixture can be separated using physical means and the compound is separated by use of chemical means.
