Victorian teachers work simple clothes. The female teachers wore simple full length black dresses with a high collar white cotton blouse underneath and stout flat boots. The school mistress would wear her long hair up in a bun. The male teacher would wear a suit with a white shirt which had a deep rounded collar, a tie and boots.
