i had a 106 and the timing belt came loose , it came off and wrecked the timing of the engine causing it to destroy its self . i presume it will be the same effect if it did snap .

If you are really lucky, you have a "Non-interference" engine and all that will happen is that the engine will stop running. These will be perfectly fine if you just install

Answer bad things.. engine continues to make revolutions for a bit but cams dont turn. you can have damage to valves, lifters, pushrods, pistons, and since most oil pumps run on this

Timing belt failure comes in three flavors: stretching, worn teeth and snapping, generally in that order. All timing belts stretch, and most of that stretch occurs about 15 minutes
