Middle childhood is a stage in developing children between the ages of 6 to 12. At this stage they can do most things on their own, go to school and relate with other children of the same age, but it can be a challenging phase for parents. This stage is slow as the children tend to mature slowly but some small level of independence is achieved both by parent and child.
