Slapped cheek disease also known as Erythema Enfectiosum is an infection caused by the parvovirus B19 virus. It mostly occurs in children aged 4 to 12 years, but anyone can be affected. The infectious period is for 4 to 20 days before the rash appears, when rash develops, the disease is no longer infectious.
