Sir Walter Raleigh ship was called the Ark Royal. It was an impressive ship that had four masts and a crew of 270. Sir Walter donated it to the army during the Spanish armada and he also captained the Falcon during his expeditions.

Sir Walter Raleigh's ship was called the Ark. It was however changed later to Ark Raleigh because as custom of that time, the ship had to have the name of its owner. The ship was later renamed Ark Royal after Queen Elizabeth the 1st bought the ship from Raleigh in 1587.
