What Would Happen Without Friction?

Answer

If there was no friction you would not be able to move as you would slip and fall, you could not stop a moving object and you would not need to oil your engine or change the tires of your car. Friction is caused by irregularities on the surface of objects when they rub against each other. Without friction it would be impossible to start a fire using sticks as friction is needed for that.
