Where Is Olympia?

Answer

Many countries can identify with the name Olympia, but perhaps the name originated from Greece. Olympia sits at the foot of the Kronion Hill stretches, the space formed by the wedge of land between the converging rivers of the Alfios and the Kladeos. It was formerly a place of worship of pre-Hellenic deities and also the birthplace of the Olympic Games, which according to legend, began after a victory by Pelops against Oenomaos, King of Pissa.
