Why Do Alcoholics Lie?

Answer

From a psychological point of view, alcoholics normally lie because people are naturally wired to defend their weaknesses. They may feel overwhelmed by guilt over what they do yet wish to stop, but can't. Lying is a common character among many people who know they are addicted to something.
