Why Is Stock Control Important?

Answer

Businesses have three types of stock namely; finished goods, work in progress and raw materials. The importance of stock control is that it helps to minimise the cost of holding stocks while at the same time ensuring that the business has enough materials for production, to continue and be able to meet customer demand. Good stock control in a business will improve efficiency, lower costs and ensure production can meet fluctuations in customer demands.
