Why was there an industrial revolution?

Answer

As the number of factories increased, people from the countryside began to move into the towns looking for better jobs. The wages of a farm worker were quite low and there were less jobs working on farms due to the invention and use of new machines such as threshers. Also thousands of new workers were required to work machines in mills and warehouses and the factory owners built houses for them.
