If it was possible for human beings to live forever, the experience would be a good thing and a bad thing at the same time. Given that nobody wants to die, the mere thought of eternal living here on earth would be a bore for some. There is a very big chance that diseases and prolonged unhappiness would ultimately lead to higher incidences of suicide.
